Baraka Collection, The

Founded by Beth and Hatem Akil, The Baraka Collection is the first gallery in Florida dedicated to the promotion of the work of Arab and Middle Eastern artists. The Gallery is located in the Hannibal Square area in Winter Park. The Baraka Collection's goal is to present to Central Floridians the opportunity to experience Arab culture both in its contemporary as well as historical dimensions by presenting some of the best work being produced in the Arab World as well as antique and vintage artifacts of historical and cultural value. By connecting these objects of interest from distant places and distant times to the global issues of environmental conservation and international fair trade, The Baraka Collection hopes to contribute to the conversation bewteen cultures in very small but practical ways. Hours: Mon-Sat 10:00am-5:00pmFor more information about the gallery or future events, please contact Hatem Akil at hatem@barakacollection.com
