A two-day workshop where students learn the encaustic medium and leave with 2 completed paintings!
In this two-day, all-levels workshop. Students create their own encaustic medium by combining beeswax, damar resin, and pigment, as well as learning how to use the application equipment. We will then go over the fundamentals of encaustic painting such as layering, fusing, inlays, creating texture, and adding various surface effects. At the end of the workshop, students will have two completed paintings that demonstrate and incorporate all of the techniques they’ve learned. All materials will be provided.
