Experience the Culture of Haiti aims to offer the community an immersive experience of Haiti’s art, music, dance, literature and cuisine. The event’s intention is to showcase Haiti’s rich culture in a positive light.
On Sunday August 24th, 2025, Artist With A Purpose Gallery, is hosting “Experience the Culture of Haiti #2.” The event is crafted to promote awareness towards Haitian culture in the community. “Experience the Culture of Haiti” is the vision of Belina Wright, being a Florida native and acrylic artist.
This initiative is to curate an exhibition that immerses the community in Haitian culture. Visitors will explore Haitian art and crafts, view traditional attire, and enjoy live traditional dance accompanied by drummers. They will taste Haitian cuisine and learn basic Haitian Creole phrases, enhancing their connection to the culture. The exhibition will also feature a performance highlighting Haitian history and an educational segment on Haiti’s unique flora and fauna. This interactive approach encourages active participation, allowing visitors to engage directly with the culture through stories, food, and learning experiences, thereby deepening their understanding of Haiti and its people. This program is a collaboration with the Artist With A Purpose Gallery and involves Haitian artists and educators from Florida.
