Toni Withaneye

I have been affectionately known as Ms. Toni to my students for over twenty years. My art adventure programs are done on location from traditional classrooms to family workshops, aftercare programs and private classes. I combine my knowledge of the arts and teaching experience into the cultural and exploration field trips.   I believe “there is no mistakes in art” and everyone should enjoy it.

Stained Glass

My two favorite things are art and children. As a young child growing up in South Florida, I would draw, paint, and sometime mix things in my artwork. Over the years, I added different mediums to my style. I had the influence of my father who was a carpenter. He wanted to incorporate stained glass art to his furniture projects so he encouraged me to study stained glass. I started studying stained glass at the age of 19 and I came to love the process. I would take glass and turn them from puzzles into pictures. Over the years I have made many stained-glass pieces from custom cabinetry, windows, clocks, and small decorative items. The love of the arts led me to pursue schooling in graphic arts, later ceramics, and then eventually early childhood education.
