Stefan Alexandres born in Athens, Greece. He apprenticed in metal arts in the traditional old-world methods guided by the organized guilds of Greece from 1964 to 1972. His formal training is based in the art of the Archaic and the folklore Byzantine art. For over 30 years, Stefan has worked as a metalsmith repousse artist and as department manager at the “Medieval Life” folklore craft village and museum. Since 2008, he teaches metal arts as a faculty instructor at the Crealde School of Art.
EDUCATION
1964 to 1972 apprenticeship for Byzantine metal arts in the traditional ways of the old world, as guided through the organized guilds of Athens, Greece.
